Interactive ROI Calculator & Market Intelligence
Built a CRM-embedded ROI tool that gave the sales team a credible, real-time answer to the most important question in every deal: what does this actually save us?
When a potential client asks "what will this save us?" in a sales meeting, a vague answer kills momentum. WattAnyWhere's BD team was estimating savings from memory and rough numbers, with nothing to back it up and nothing to leave behind.
In parallel, leadership needed a rigorous market sizing analysis to support fundraising conversations and EU grant applications. The company knew its market was large but had no structured evidence for the claim.
These were two separate problems that needed two separate deliverables, both in parallel.
For the ROI calculator: I mapped the variables that determine energy cost savings for a commercial building (floor area, current energy tariff, solar irradiance by geography, grid feed-in rates, installation cost). Built a calculation model, then embedded it directly in HubSpot as a form that populates contact records automatically.
Sales reps now input client parameters during discovery calls. The tool outputs a personalised savings projection in real time, generates a PDF summary, and logs everything to the contact record. The output goes directly into the proposal.
For the market intelligence: I ran structured TAM/SAM/SOM analysis across 10+ target markets using AI research agents to aggregate public data sources (Eurostat, national energy agencies, industry reports, competitor filings). Built the analysis in Power BI with drill-down by country and segment.
I also led the research for EU grant applications to EIC, SIP, and Horizon Europe, using the market analysis as the core evidence base.
- €150B total addressable market identified and documented across target geographies. Used directly in board presentations and investor conversations.
- The ROI calculator gave the sales team a credible, leave-behind asset for every deal. Client questions about savings are now answered with a personalised projection, not a guess.
- EU grant applications submitted to EIC, SIP, and Horizon Europe, all using the market analysis as supporting evidence.
- The analysis was presented directly to the CEO and used for board-level strategic planning.
